Suspects who burglarized 50 Cent‘s home have been caught six months later.
Back in January, three men stole jewelry and cash worth $3 million from one of Fif’s businesses located in Bergen County, New Jersey, according to TMZ. A resident of that apartment building had reported the heist right after the Cliffside Park Police Department found a stolen car in that area.
When police reviewed the surveillance footage, they realized the stolen car was the same one the criminals used to drive to and from the burglary location. The three men: Travis Villalobos, Richard Murphy, and Matthew Gale, have all been charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief.
The burglary was initially misreported as a break-in at the media mogul’s home. But Fif confirmed it was actually one of the leased corporate apartments for one of his businesses. “At the time the suspects were in the unit, police drove by but did not realize the individuals were still inside. The entire matter was caught on surveillance cameras,” said Fif’s lawyer.
Authorities say they expect to have the $3 million returned in full.
