Elks Lodge in Glendale, CA is investigating an incident that occurred at their lodge recently. A charity event thrown by a retired LAPD officer featured performer & Elks Lodge member Gary Fishell  who sang a song mocking and celebrating the death of Mike Brown.

The song was a rendition of “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.” which he titled “Dead Dead Michael Brown”.  The lyrics were as follows:

Michael Brown learned a lesson about a messin’
With a badass policeman

And he’s bad, bad Michael Brown
Baddest thug in the whole damn town
Badder than old King Kong
Meaner than a junkyard dog

Two men took to fightin’
And Michael punched in through the door
And Michael looked like some old Swiss cheese
His brain was splattered on the floor

And he’s dead, dead Michael Brown
Deadest man in the whole damn town
His whole life’s long gone
Deader than a roadkill dog

Gary Fishell is a P.I. who once worked as an investigator for the Federal Government. His lawyer says that although Fishell now realizes the song was “off color and in poor taste.”  that at the time he was just being a “goofball” and thought that by performing the song in a room full of cops, the officers would get a kick out of it.

An attendee who was offended by the song taped it. Check out the video below.
