MBK Entertainment, a management team known for developing and launching the careers from Alicia Keys, H.E.R., and many others, has announced a new reality competition series, MBK The Next Generation.
The new series is set to identify, elevate, and break the hottest new superstars of tomorrow and provide a platform for up-and-coming artists to compete to win a grand prize consisting of a management deal with MBK Entertainment a recording contract with MBK/RCA Records.
The management team has become a trusted management company and multimedia firm. MBK Entertainment could fill a void during the recent global coronavirus pandemic, despite the world being shut down.
It launched a series of artist showcases across social media platforms Instagram and Clubhouse in 2020. The company received a vigorous response from audiences and provided artists a stage at one of the world’s most troubling times.
Amid the pandemic, MBK, The Next Generation, evolved. The series airs weekly on Clubhouse. In the first round, artists will audition via social media. If an artist makes it to the second phase, they will go in-person before a panel of industry visionaries, which includes MBK Entertainment C.E.O./Chairman Jeff Robinson, UMPG Senior VP Walter Jones, GRAMMY® and Academy® Award-winning singer and songwriter Tiara Thomas, MBK Entertainment Artist Manager Jason Hobdy, MBK Entertainment Artist A&R Jordan Chatman, Epic Records artist LONR., RCA Records artist Tone Stith, and Roc Nation artist Maeta.
MBK The Next Generation is said to be one of music’s hottest new series and prides itself on providing each contestant an opportunity for maximum visibility.
The entertainment company remains committed to artist development. The company ignited and galvanized the careers of roster alumni such as Alicia Keys, Elle Varner, Tyrese, Keyshia Cole, and more. Meanwhile, current clients include H.E.R., Tiara Thomas, LONR., Maeta, Jourden Cox, Abigail Furr, and Tone Stith. Recently, H.E.R. took home an Academy® Award in the category of “Best Original Song” for “Fight For You” in addition to picking up “Song of the Year” for “I Can’t Breathe” and “Best R&B Song” for “Better Than I Imagine” [with Robert Glasper & Meshell Ndegeocello] at the 2021 GRAMMY® Awards.
