A 50,000-square-foot compound in Brentwood was built to be a haven for marijuana smokers, and it’s now been sold for $44 million.
It’s one of L.A.’s five “marijuana mansions” tricked out with a rooftop weed garden and other features that would put a pothead up in smoke happiness. The New York Post reports the mansion has seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and previously had cannabis smoking rooms. The home was developed by Ramtin Ray Nostrati and was sold on Friday to financier Jeff Feinberg, former director of Soros Fund Management.
However, all the amenities that came with, including the cannabis rooms, were taken out. Weed plants that rested on the rooftop of the home were also removed. “[The buyer] did not want it, so it was removed prior to closing,” the representative told the Post. The cannabis rooms will be turned into cigar smoking rooms, the news outlet reports.
“I built and designed this home with the idea in mind that you would be on vacation every day when living here. I wanted to bring the inspiration of resort living to life at a residential property where you never wanted to leave,” Nostrati told The Post.
The mansion also features a rooftop deck with a full bar, outdoor fireplaces – at least four, a vegetable garden, jacuzzi, an infinity pool, and more. It even has a Kobe Bryant-themed basketball court with paintings of Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dr. J, and Michael Jordan.
