Rapper Pooh Shiesty may be off the hook for a Miami nightclub shooting after the alleged victim recanted his story.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Frivin Dor, the security guard who was allegedly shot by the “Back In Blood” rapper, is on record saying that the hospital gave him Dilaudid on the night he was shot. Dilaudid is a powerful opioid painkiller which caused him not to remember ever speaking with the detectives.

Shiesty’s lawyers, Bradford Cohen, and Saam Zangeneh filed a new motion this week with sworn testimony from Dor recanting his original statement. In his latest account, the security guard suggests that he doesn’t remember the rapper aiming nor shooting at him at any point during that fateful night in King of Diamonds Miami.

Dor also stated that he is not interested in pressing charges against Shiesty, nor does he want to be contacted by Florida investigators.

Shiesty’s lawyers believe that this new testimony is enough for prosecutors to consider releasing the 21-year-old on bond.

This latest development in the case comes after a judge revoked his bond from a previous incident and ruled that Shiesty should remain in jail until his trial.
