A Dallas police officer was arrested this week after sexually assaulting an underage girl that came to him for help. The age of the female victim was not released.
Tyrone Lee Williams Jr., 48, was booked into jail on Monday and released on a $25,000 bond. He has been placed on leave from the Dallas Police Department, where he has served since 2009, pending an internal investigation.
According to Daily Beast, Williams is a family friend of the victim. When the victim got into an argument with her father in May, she went to his house, and he allowed her to sleep in his daughter’s bed.
According to an affidavit, the girl woke up with Williams rubbing her thighs. He told the girl to remain quiet, and she fell back asleep. When she awoke, Williams was rubbing himself on her in a painful manner. She pushed him off her after Williams asked her if she liked it and locked herself in the bathroom.
Police say that later on, the girl got into an argument with her mother and ended up back at Williams’ home. She later went to stay with her boyfriend’s family and disclosed the abuse to his mother. Williams informed authorities of her location and told them she was a runaway. She was picked up at her boyfriend’s family’s house and told officials about the sexual assault.
