An unidentified woman claims that NBA star Carmelo Anthony is the father of her newborn twins, but he wants to keep them hidden from the public.
The mistress stated the two met in New York City in 2020, and although she knew he was married to Lala Anthony, he acted single. He even FaceTimed her from his bed, according to Hollywood Unlocked.
Instead of expressing remorse, she told the outlet that she doesn’t feel bad because Lala was out doing her.
Things got worse when the 38-year-old woman found out she was pregnant in September. The woman planned to get a medically-induced abortion in Los Angeles; however, she backed out when Melo failed to take her to the appointment.
Instead, the two agreed the woman should give birth to the babies in London, which she did in April. Melo suggested making the babies British Citizens, which she believes was just to make it harder for the birth certificates to be updated.
The premature babies are still in the NICU at the hospital, where they are to remain until at least mid-June. One of the twins, a boy, developed complications and required surgery.
The mistress said she’s been trying to contact Melo, to no avail. She’s just now coming forward because she feels “everything became so overwhelming.” Even though they agreed to live a private life, that did not include hiding her children from the rest of the world.
As for Melo’s marriage to Lala, TMZ reports she recently filed for divorce in New York, citing irreconcilable differences. After 16-years together, the couple maintains the divorce is amicable, and they will remain friends.
