Two children under the age of 16 have tested positive for COVID-19 aboard Royal Caribbean Cruises’ Adventures of the Seas ship, company officials said.
According to The New York Post, the youngsters who are not vaccinated, were “immediately quarantined” following the routine testing and are now returning home to Florida.
“One guest is asymptomatic, and the other guest is experiencing mild symptoms,” Royal Caribbean officials said.
The other passengers traveling with the children and those who came in close contact with them are all vaccinated and returned negative Covid tests, the cruise liner said.
The children and their companions disembarked the ship on Thursday in Freeport in the Bahamas to fly home on a private flight arranged by Royal Caribbean.
