L.A. Mother Jailed After Police Find Three Children Dead In Home

The mother of three children found dead inside their Los Angeles home has been arrested as a suspect.

According to online records, 28-year-old Sandra Chico is jailed at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility on $2 million bail, NBC News reports. This comes after the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a report that two children weren’t breathing. When paramedics and police arrived at the East Los Angeles home, they found a girl and two boys, the sheriff’s department said. The children were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims’ names were Mia Camila Rodriguez, 4; Mason Mateo Rodriguez, 3; and Milan Mateas Rodriguez, 1 month. There are no details on if Chico has an attorney, but she is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday.

NBC News reports Sheriff Lt. Charles Calderaro said there were “no obvious signs” trauma, and no domestic neglect or abuse concerns have been reported.
