Cops arrested four suspects after a maid at a Denver hotel called in to report a “bunch of guns laid out” in a suite near the site of the MLB All-Star game.
According to Fox News, the suspects were arrested at a hotel near Coors Field, which is the site of the MLB’s All-Star Game scheduled to take place on Tuesday night.
Cops arrested three men and one woman after removing 16 long guns, body armor, and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition from a room at the Maven Hotel.
The male suspects were identified as 42-year-old Richard Platt, 48-year-old Gabriel Rodriguez, and 44-year-old Ricardo Rodriguez. They were taken into custody as part of an investigation into allegations of possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
The female suspect, identified as 43-year-old Kanoelehua Serikawa, is being investigated on possible charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
Media reports claim that authorities initially feared a “Las Vegas-style shooting” attack might have been in the works.
