Newly leaked Kremlin documents appear to show Vladimir Putin’s plot to get Trump in the White House, claiming the Russian leader personally authorized an operation by secret spy agencies to support a “mentally unstable” Donald Trump in the 2016 US presidential election.
According to The Guardian, the alleged leaked documents were revealed during a closed session of Russia’s National security council.
It detailed a key meeting in January 2016, in which Putin, his spy chiefs, and senior ministers were all present.
They all agreed in that meeting that a Trump White House would help secure Moscow’s strategic objectives, among which were to achieve “social turmoil” in the US and create a weakening of the American president’s negotiating position.
The three Russian spy agencies were ordered to find practical ways to support Trump’s bid to become President in a decree that Putin allegedly signed.
