Sixteen members of a white supremacist gang were indicted today on 12 counts of racketeering. The gang called “Unforgiven” are accused of carrying out extreme acts of violence, according to an announcement reportedly made by the Department of Justice.

The men are accused of exploiting “corrupt law enforcement officers and state employees” to obtain information and smuggle contraband inside prisons to distribute to inmates. There was a laundry list of charges, including kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and murder.

Three members of the notorious gang, George “Shrek” Andrews, Joshua “Chain Gang” Wilson, and Brandon “Scumbag” Welch, reportedly face up to 30 years in prison if convicted. Other gang members named in the indictment are Maverick “Saxon” Maher, Ryan “Pretty Boy” McLaughlin, and Darrin “Nova” Terranova.

David Howell, 35, another member, was reportedly charged with assaulting protesters at a “Peace Walk for Black Lives” with a deadly weapon last June. The protest occurred around the time other protests were organized across the nation following the death of George Floyd at the hands of police officer Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis.

Another gang member named Michael Curzio was sentenced to 6 months in jail this week after participating in the Jan. 6 Insurrection riot at the U.S. Capitol. Since his time was deemed already served, it is expected for him to be released sometime this week.

“To join the gang, members are required to study “Aryan philosophy” and carry out extreme acts of violence,” the indictment reportedly says. The gang is also accused of putting together a political branch called Route 21 where they “attempt to disguise the white supremacist roots of its political activity,” prosecutors said.

The gang members were also required to get several tattoos, including swastikas, SS bolts, and iron crosses.
