A brand of muffins sold at Walmart and 7-Eleven are being recalled over possible Listeria contamination.

According to a recall notice, Give and Go Prepared Foods has voluntarily recalled some of its muffins “due to the potential for the products to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.” The recalled products were sold under seven different brands including, The Worthy Crumb, Uncle Wally’s Twin
Muffins, 7-Eleven Selects, Great Value, and others.

Listeria is an infection usually caused by a person eating food contaminated with the bacterium called Listeria monocytogenes. If infected, a person could experience a fever, muscle aches, nausea, and other stomach issues. The more than two dozen recalled products were sold at well-known grocery stores and convenience stores, including Walmart, 7-Eleven, and Stop & Shop.

“Give and Go Prepared Foods (U.S.A.) Corp. Conducts Voluntary Recall of Certain Muffin Products Due to Possible Health Risk,” read a tweet posted by the FDA.

“We became aware of this issue as part of our environmental monitoring program,” Give and Go Prepared Foods said in its recall notice, per Fox Business. Walmart issued a warning about the recall on its website.
