Emmy-nominated actress Michaela Coel is joining the cast of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”

The highly-anticipated Black Panther sequel is on its way, and joining in for the ride is Michaela Coel, CNN reports. Coel is reportedly down in Atlanta at Pinewood Studios, where production for the film started last month.

Coel will be working alongside the beloved Black Panther cast, including Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba, Angela Bassett and more. There are no details on who her character will be in the film.

Coel comes as a talent with a jam-packed resume, having starred in hit shows like Netflix’s “Black Mirror,” “Been So Long,” “Chewing Gum” and more. Earlier this month, the access received four Emmy nominations for her work on the HBO Max series “I May Destroy,” which she wrote and starred in.

Black Panther is set to be released in July 2022.
