Rapper Fredo Bang was arrested in Miami on Thursday, just one day before performing at Rolling Loud.
The 25-year-old was arrested on a parole violation at his Miami Lakes home after police and federal agents raided the property. They located three guns inside the residence and a stolen vehicle parked out front. Fredo was previously granted parole after pleading guilty to illegal use of weapons and simple criminal damage to property in relation to a 2015 shooting outside of a Baton Rouge, Louisiana apartment complex.
Fredo’s arrest arrives one day after his friend and fellow rapper, Lit Yoshi, was arrested at the same Miami home on attempted murder charges stemming from a St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana shooting.
It is unclear at this time if the raid on the luxury Miami home had anything to do with law enforcement previously announcing that they were investigating both Fredo and Yoshi in connection with a May 2019 shooting that targeted rival rapper NBA YoungBoy. That shooting left Youngboy’s girlfriend and three innocent bystanders injured. Mohamad Jradi, a rental car employee who’d just finished his shift nearby, was killed in the gunfire.
Fredo’s attorney, Ron Haley, says that the “No Security” artist is being “targeted unjustly” and hopes to have him released in time to perform at the Rolling Loud Music Festival.
