Following the listening party for his Donda album, Kanye West has reportedly taken up residence in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium to finish the project.
TMZ is exclusively reporting that sources close to the rapper say he has created a studio space and living quarters to hunker down and put the finishing touches on the album. He even brought in a private chef to prepare his meals for him.
Apparently, Ye was so moved by the crowd at Thursday’s listening event that he decided to stay in Atlanta to complete Donda. He was even spotted in the same outfit he wore to the party at an Atlanta United soccer game on Saturday.
Unfortunately, this all means that he will now miss his “surprise” Sunday performance at Miami’s Rolling Loud festival. It was widely reported that West was planning to perform at the festival following the release of his album.
But the release date for West’s 10th studio album has apparently been pushed back. The album, originally scheduled to drop Friday, will now reportedly be released on August 6.
Donda is named after West’s late mother, who passed away in 2007 after experiencing complications from plastic surgery. She was 58.
So apparently Kanye West is still walking around Mercedes-Benz Stadium in his #DONDA release party fit. 💀😂 pic.twitter.com/JTwCpKXKzr
