McCormick & Company announced a recall on three of its popular seasonings because of potential salmonella contamination.
In a news release, the company explained that routine testing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration led to the decision to recall McCormick Perfect Pinch Italian Seasoning, McCormick Culinary Italian Seasoning, and Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning.
The company said the impacted products were shipped within the last two months to 32 states, Bermuda and Canada, according to the Maryland-based company. The states impacted by the recall include Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
The products were sold through retailers like Big Y, Publix, Target, Kroger, and Walmart, among others.
