Kerry Washington has signed on to produce and star in the Netflix film “Rockaway” based on the critically acclaimed memoir by Diane Cardwell.
Cardwell’s memoir revolves around a journalist living in Manhattan who unexpectedly discovers the power of surfing while writing a story. Kerry’s character subsequently finds herself running from her comfortable life towards one of self-discovery and blossoming romance.
This new project is Washington’s latest film with Netflix. She also stars in the upcoming movie “The School for Good and Evil.”
