On Wednesday, a grand jury indicted two men from North Carolina on first-degree murder charges in the overdose death of a 24-year-old woman from Pennsylvania who was visiting Miami Beach for spring break.

Both Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24, are now facing charges of burglary with assault/violence, sexual battery of a helpless victim, credit card theft, and petty theft, among other counts.

Taylor also faces a second murder charge in connection with another tourist who overdosed from fentanyl.

On March 18, authorities found Christine Englehardt dead in a room at the Albion Hotel in Miami Beach.

According to investigators, the two men met the victim at a restaurant, gave her a green pill, and drove her to her hotel, where “they had sex with her multiple times and once she was unconscious or out,” the suspects “remained inside the unit and didn’t call for assistance or help and began to take all of her items.”

Englehardt was discovered half-naked, drugged, and raped, according to investigators.

Surveillance video showed the two males entering the Albion Hotel with the victim and then leaving without her. Authorities said Taylor was then seen on surveillance cameras at a South Beach liquor store using the victim’s credit card.

According to prosecutors, Englehardt and the second victim, Walter Riley, 21, both died from fentanyl overdoses.

According to the Miami Herald, Taylor is suspected of selling fentanyl to Riley, who mistakenly thought he was buying Percocet.

After Englehardt’s death, Riley was found unconscious on Washington Avenue and passed away two days later.

According to Phil Reizenstein, Collier’s attorney, Englehardt had ingested so many different drugs that it was nearly impossible to determine which one caused her death.
