Despite Usher slamming T-Pain for using autotune early in his career, the “Superstar” singer says that the two are in a good space.

If you recall, last month, a clip from Netflix’s “This Is Pop” featuring T-Pain went viral. During the conversation, the “Bartender” crooner detailed how he was a huge fan of Usher but fell into depression after his fellow singer told him he “f—– up music” for using autotune in his records.

“He was like, ‘Yeah man, you really f—– up music for real singers,'” T-Pain recalled. “I was like, ‘What did I do? I came out, and I used autotune.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, you f—– it up.'”

After the video went viral, fans quickly came to T-Pain’s defense, slamming Usher for his rude comments. However, Usher says that he is happy the Florida singer spoke up about their past exchange and says it was “hurtful” to know that T-Pain has dealt with depression.

“Private conversations for me have always been intended to uplift. But when or if people get pieces of it, they can always have some other interpretation. But we’ve spoken since, and we’re good,” the 42-year-old said.

Pain also expressed that he still has much love for Usher.

Maybe now we can finally get that “Same Girl” remix.
