Gina Krasley, who appeared on Season 8 of TLC’s hit show “My 600-Lb. Life,” has died, the network said.
While the official cause of death is not known, an obituary for Krasley states that she died last Sunday at her home in New Jersey. She was surrounded by family when she passed away.
Gina joined the series in January 2020 and in April of last year, which featured her in a special episode called “Time Is Running Out For Gina.”
In that episode, Gina discussed her struggles with her weight, saying her life has been a challenging experience, and she’s always felt like “I was just pushed under the rug.”
Gina revealed that she turned to food as an outlet when she was 14 and already weighed 300 pounds. She admitted that it became extremely difficult to do everyday things as she approached 500 pounds.
TLC was deeply saddened by the loss of Gina Krasley, who shared her weight-loss journey on My 600lb Life. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.
