Bobby Shmurda Snags New Management Deal With Roc Nation

New York rapper Bobby Shmurda has joined the Roc Nation family.

On Friday, it was confirmed that the “Hot N–a” star inked a management deal with Roc Nation ahead of his forthcoming album. Senior vice president of Roc Nation’s artist management team, Mike Brinkley, praised Shmurda’s work ethic and eagerness to learn.

“He’ll ask questions and not just ask but actually comprehend. Meeting him for the first time, you can’t even fathom what he went through because he doesn’t wear it. He’s like, ‘I’m here to work, what do you need me to do?’” Brinkley told the New York Times.

This new management deal comes as the beloved Brooklyn rapper explores offers for a documentary based on his life. Throughout his incarceration, many in hip-hop showered the rapper with love for opting to take more prison time to avoid his friends having to, which is sure to be explored in the upcoming film.

Life has been moving pretty quickly since his February release from prison. The 27-year-old has been in the studio with big names such as Migos and Da Baby. He recently performed at Rolling Loud Miami, where he charmed the crowd with his classic hit records that he released before his 2014 arrest and a few unreleased tracks.

Bobby Shmurda has not yet publicly commented on his new partnership with the Roc.
