Anderson .Paak is serious about his demos remaining unreleased after he passes away.
The singer and drummer posted a photo of a new tattoo to his Instagram story, clearly indicating that he does not want any of his unreleased music put out posthumously.
.Paak got the tattoo on his forearm in black capital letters.
“When I’m gone, please don’t release any posthumous albums or songs with my name attached,” the tattoo says. “Those were just demos and never intended to be heard by the public.”
Several high-profile posthumous albums have been released over the last few years. We’ve seen chart-topping projects released on behalf of Pop Smoke, Juice WRLD, Mac Miller, and Lil Peep.Â
As for Anderson .Paak releasing music while he is still with us; he just released his second single, “Skate,” as part of the Silk Sonic duo with Bruno Mars. The song follows their hit “Leave the Door Open,” which topped the charts for eight weeks. It’s rumored that he’s also working on his next solo album, with Dr. Dre’s involvement.
