Trippie Redd lucked out in his 2018 assault case. The rapper will not be facing any charges related to the incident after all.
TMZ broke the news after speaking to the rappers’ attorney, Drew Findling. According to the outlet, the Fulton County District Attorney’s office decided not to prosecute.
In June of 2018, a woman accused Trippie of pistol-whipping her. Atlanta Police Officers observed a bump on the woman’s head where she was hit. They decided there was enough evidence for assault and arrested Trippie for battery and aggravated assault.
Now that he’s off the hook for the assault case, Trippie’s attorney said he’s focusing on his upcoming album, Trip At Knight. The rapper’s fourth studio album is due out sometime this month before he embarks on a North American tour scheduled to kick off on August 25.
Trippie recently dropped the artwork and the tracklist for the album. The 18t-track LP has features from Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk, Polo G, and more. The late XXXTentacion and Juice WRLD will also appear on the project.
