An elderly white woman who was arrested last April and charged with a hate crime after she allegedly hurled slurs at a Vietnamese neighbor is now accused in a lawsuit of continuing to harass the woman’s family in clear violation of a no-contact order.
On Wednesday, cops said the 72-year-old white woman, Jan Myers, allegedly tried to use her car to attack the victim’s family.
According to the arrest report, Myers “screamed and yelled” at Thi Pham and her husband William Healy from her home next door to theirs. She then reportedly got in her car and approached Healy, driving her car straight at him and causing the terrified man to fear being hit by the vehicle. The report also said Healy narrowly moved out the way and ran into his home for safety.
Myers was subsequently arrested and charged with felony violation of her court order and felony vehicular assault.
