A mother from Baltimore was accused of viciously murdering her two children after their decomposing bodies were found — days after her neighbors told her that one of them screamed, “Mommy, no.”
On Wednesday, Jameria Hall, 28 was arrested after police called to investigate a foul smell from the apartment a day earlier.
The bodies of Da’Neria Thomas, 6, and Davin Thompson, 8 were found decomposing.
According to charging documents, Da’Neria was drowned and strangled. Her body was found with clothing wrapped around her neck, discarded in a bathtub.
According to authorities, her brother was discovered in a sleeping bag with a huge knife still lodged in his chest and a plastic bag surrounding his head.
The children had been dead for an unknown amount of time, but a neighbor spotted Hall with the two children last Thursday.
One of the neighbors said she heard the girl scream “Mommy, no” from inside the apartment that same night, according to authorities.
The charging documents say that Hall allegedly told her mother earlier this week that the children’s father had abducted them. But the father said he hadn’t seen them.
When the bodies of the children were discovered, Hall was not at home. She was apprehended by authorities on Wednesday while riding in an Uber near her home.
After she allegedly confessed to killing the children, police charged Hall with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and reckless endangerment of the children.
Hall’s social media sites are overflowing with pictures of her and her kids. Even referring to them as her “best friends” in some of her posts.
