A Facebook post that went viral this week accused a Live Oak Police officer of excessive force after he stopped a black motorist for a minor infraction.
“Officer Sean Craig stopping Mr. Glasper for what began as a minor infraction of having no plates on his work van. Mr. Glasper & his work crew were on their way home from working overnight. It was early Saturday Morning & they were laughing & talking, glad to be headed home,” the post began.
“Mr. Glasper’s family says @ No Time Was He Rude or Non-compliant, in fact, the officer starts out on the video that you see is saying what he is not going to do. It is alleged while he was running all occupants of the work van’s license (all came back clean), he was actually calling for backup,” the post continued.
Glasper’s family says some videos show more, and they want the complete video released to the public. They ask the public to put pressure on the LOPD to release the video and tell the whole story.
The family accused the LOPD have added “trumped” up charges on Glasper to cover for the officer.
