A representative for the streaming giant confirmed to Complex that Drake previously held the record for 2018’s Scorpion. Scorpion generated around 132 million single-day streams.
Drizzy celebrated the feat by posting a photo of a billboard announcing the record-breaking achievement.
“Certified Record Breaker,” the billboard said. “On 9/3/21 CLB became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day. Congrats, Drake.”

Apple Music also announced that CLB broke their record for an album debut, once again topping a record that Scorpion set. It only took 12 hours for the album to reach the milestone.
CLB was initially scheduled to drop in January but was pushed back. The album was finally released on Friday. The long-awaited project features Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Future, and more.
