Rihanna and Her Dad

Rihanna dropped a legal suit against her father just weeks before the case was set to start in court on September 22nd.

The superstar accused her father, Ronald Fenty, of misusing her name for his own gain, including attempting to book her for a tour overseas without her knowledge or permission. She sued him in 2019 for charges of false advertising and invasion of privacy. The pop star also claimed her father falsely used her name to promote his business, Fenty Entertainment, in addition to attempting to trademark the phrase FENTY and use it to open hotels.

Media reports have speculated that Rihanna reached an out-of-court settlement with her dad and his business partner.
