A Kansas man has been arrested for killing another man in an incident involving a missing Amazon package.
Kansas City police have arrested 34-year-old Darnell Walker after he fatally shot 27-year-old Travis Eugene. Authorities say they were called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. after being informed of a shooting on the 2900 block of Silver Court.
“Detectives believe the shooting stemmed from an argument and physical altercation between the two men regarding a missing Amazon package that had been delivered to the apartment of the victim’s sister,” police said in a news release.
Walker has been arrested for first-degree murder. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died from his wounds. Walker is now being held in the Wyandotte County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
