NYPD officer Steven Grant, 31, was driving in his personal car in the early morning when he was pulled over.
Authorities say Grant showed signs of intoxication while behind the wheel.
Fortunately, he was not involved in an accident but was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while impaired by alcohol, the New York Post reported.
Grant joined the NYPD in October 2016 and was assigned to the 23rd Precinct.
