On Saturday, gunfire broke out at a popular Halloween attraction outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, killing one and injuring another.
Police said the shooting occurred around 8:15 p.m. at the Haunted Hills Hayride. Several hundred people were waiting to get into an annual charity event to benefit the Autism Society of Pittsburgh when gunfire erupted near the ticket booth.
Authorities believe the shooting is a result of an argument that broke out near the ticket booth area. One 15-year-old boy was killed, and another was hospitalized. Hundreds of people ran, causing a chaotic scene.
Authorities are still looking for the gunmen, who they believe is also a teenager. They do not know if he fled on foot or in a vehicle.
ABC News reports that the suspect is described as Black, 5 foot 9, with short hair. He was wearing dark blue cargo shorts and carrying a black backpack.
“What goes through my mind when a 15-year-old gets shot at a hayride? I think it’s a terrible shame,” Lt. Venerando Costa of the Allegheny County Police Department said in a news conference. “Anybody could have been hurt.”
