There have been several media reports claiming that the Love and Hip Hop Houston franchise has halted production due to the brandishing of weapons and threats to the producers, but a source close to the cast and production have dismissed those allegations as completely false.
In fact, the only morsel of truth regarding the situation is that there was an altercation, however it was between two people associated with members of the cast, not the cast members themselves. According to the source, #LHHHouston was shooting the performance scene at the upscale sports bar #SocialJunkie. The producers had completed filming when the two females got into a verbal altercation. At no point did the altercation escalate to a physical level or were weapons brandished as many reports have indicated. The altercation in question is the confrontation between an associate of Just Brittany and an associate of Jhonni Blaze that landed on Instagram.Â
The cast has been seen filming together since the alleged altercation. Friday night the cast was split between #EngineRoom nightclub and #Aura, but later joined together at the renowned #VLive. At no time was there a threatening incident. #JustBrittany and #JhonniBlaze had even made amends, according to a post on Jhonni’s Instagram page.Â
Filming did not come to a halt due to any confrontation. The producers have wrapped filming the trailer for the Houston franchise and are reportedly off to start part of Miami’s filming.
