Nicki Minaj has responded after a White House official dismissed her claims that they invited her to the capital to discuss the Covid–19 Vaccine after she was slammed for viral tweets about the subject.
On Wednesday, Nicki said a White House official invited her to come to the nation’s capital to “ask questions” and dispel misinformation about the shot.
But a White House official later told NBC News that she was actually offered a phone call with a doctor who could answer her questions about the vaccine instead of an actual in-person visit to the White House.
Last night on Instagram Live, Nicki maintained-she said what she said; she received a personal invitation to the capital.
“Do y’all think I would go on the internet and lie about being invited to the f**king White House? Like what? Do you guys see what is happening right now?” she asked her viewers.
The rapper confirmed that a White House official contacted her, and her team and said, “We’d like to offer Nicki an invitation to come to the White House to speak with two people… Dr. Fauci and with the surgeon general.”
The White House has invited me & I think it’s a step in the right direction. Yes, I’m going. I’ll be dressed in all pink like Legally Blonde so they know I mean business. I’ll ask questions on behalf of the ppl who have been made fun of for simply being human. #BallGate day 3 https://t.co/PSa3WcEjH3
