According to TMZ Sports, Oscar De La Hoya is offering Floyd Mayweather $100M if he accepts to fight him this year.
TMZ allegedly caught up with Hoya and his girlfriend Holly Sonders to ask him about beating Covid-19, but all he wanted to talk about was getting in the ring.
He said, “You know who I’m gonna call out for my next fight? Floyd Mayweather.” He added, “I’ll offer Floyd Mayweather $100 million.” If you recall, De La Hoya lost to Manny Pacquiao in 2008 and hasn’t been in a fight since contracting covid-19 after being scheduled to return to the ring to fight against Vitor Belfort earlier this month.Floyd, who is 44 years old, has been significantly more active. His last professional fight was in 2017 against Conor McGregor, but he’s had a few exhibition fights since then, including one in June 2021 against Logan Paul.Boxing enthusiasts know that Oscar and Floyd fought back in 2007 in one of the greatest fights of the decade.
Mayweather defeated De La Hoya.
