Have y’all updated your iPhones yet? If not, you’re missing out on some new cool features as part of Apple’s iOS 15.
The tech giant released its latest software update Monday and it includes new upgrades to iMessage, Facetime, Maps, plus AI upgrades that can better identify items in photos and more. Check out some of our favorite updates:
Facetime
Your Android and Windows user friends won’t have to be left out of the group FaceTime as the updated version is no longer reserved for Apple users. Apple users can invite in Android and Windows devices by sharing a web-accessible link to the FaceTime call. The new update also includes spatial audio and a new grid-like Zoom-esque design for group calls.
iMessage Sharing Features
Friends ever send you news links, music and pictures you don’t have time to go back to right away or simply forget about altogether? Well, the new iOS upgrade includes new features to make these easy to find. Apple news links sent by your friend will appear in the Apple News app’s “Shared with You” section. This also applies to Apple Music, Apple Photos, Safari links, podcasts and more.
Apple Map Reminders
Ever ride public transportation and miss your stop because you’re not paying attention? Well, iOS 15 is here to help try to prevent it from happening again. The new Maps will remind you when you need to get off the bus, train or subway before you miss your stop. The Maps app also includes additional updates like 3D street data, augmented reality walking direction and more.
What features are you looking forward to using the most?
