Michelle Obama’s voter initiative “When We All Vote” is back with the help of some big-name celebrities, including Chris Paul, Regina Hall, and more.
The midterm elections and National Voter Registration Day are among us. To celebrate, Obama’s When We All Vote is hosting the National Voter Registration Week of Action, according to a press release obtained by Baller Alert. The event will first start with the #BacktotheBallotBoxRally on September 23, and it will include statements from the former First Lady and NBA star Chris Paul.
“During the #BacktotheBallotBox Week of Action, When We All Vote will call on its volunteers, supporters, and student ambassadors to host voter registration drives in their local communities, sign up to register voters in high-traffic areas, and call on the Senate to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act,” the press release reads.
Other guests planned to join in for the event are Angela Yea, Brittany Packet, and other local organizers. The initiative will include various events, including #BacktotheBallotBox Instagram Live Series: The State of Women’s Rights, #BacktotheBallotBox Instagram Live Series: Voter Suppression Efforts in Texas, Georgia and Beyond, and #BacktotheBallotBox Instagram Live Series: Voting Rights for the Formerly Incarcerated.
