The Fugees are coming back together for a reunion tour.
All we hear is Fugee this, Fugee that. But, where are the Fugees at? Well, they’re about to be on a stage near you because they are going on tour for their first show in 15 years.
The Guardian reports that Lauryn Hill, Pras Michel, and Wyclef Jean will travel to 12 cities globally.
“The Fugees have a complex but impactful history,” said Hill in a statement, The Guardian reports. “I decided to honor this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite, perform the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world.”
“As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music; we would be a movement. We would be a voice for the unheard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again that God has brought us together,” included Jean.
The group’s first stop will be in New York on September 22. Other locations for the tour include Miami, Paris, London, and cities in Nigeria and Ghana.
