A woman who was sexually assaulted thought a man who intervened in the attack was about to rescue her, but the man drove her away and attacked her again.
Police in Key West, Florida, claim the second man, who drove a silver SUV, took the woman to a spot near the Monroe County courthouse, dragged her out of his vehicle with his hand covering her mouth to a discreet location, and assaulted her again.
The police report contains explicit details of the attacks that happened in the early morning of September 10. It reveals that cops used video footage that identified both suspects to make quick arrests.
Cops arrested the so-called “hero” on September 11th. 37-year-old Kerry Calvin Gasag now faces felony charges of sexual assault, false imprisonment, and evidence destruction.
The initial attacker, 30-year-old Jorge Calderon Nunez, was arrested on September 17th and charged with sexual assault and burglary for a prior incident.
Gasag claims he was driving for Uber when he spotted the woman screaming and rescued her from a man who was “having sex” with her.
He told cops, the woman thanked him and asked him to drive her to the Casa Marina Resort, and during that ride, she flirted with him and rubbed his leg and suggested pulling over to a discreet location for sex.
Gasag told police the woman didn’t scream for help or fight “like someone who is being raped does,” but video footage conflicts with his version.
