The family of the victim who was fatally shot in a Tennessee Supermarket mass shooting has identified the woman as Olivia King, a beloved mother of three sons.
On Thursday, King was inside a Kroger grocery store in Collierville, Tenn. AÂ gunman stormed into the store and killed King and wounded at least 14 other people.
King was shot in the chest and pronounced dead after she arrived at the hospital.
Her son, Wes King, shared the horrific details of his mother’s death in a post on Facebook.
Dear friends, it is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that my mother has died to her wounds. I spoke directly to the trauma surgeon. She was shot directly in the chest. EMTs attempted CPR until the hospital. They tried to save her at the hospital to no avail. I apologize for the graphic details, but this type of crime needs to stop being glossed over and sanitized. No one deserves this.

I normally don’t post publicly about Mom’s medical concerns, but this is obviously different.I don’t know much more than what’s being released to the public at the moment. I received a phone call while in a meeting from a stranger. He informed me that Mom was hit during an active shooting scene, and that I was marked at her emergency contact. She was breathing at the time he called me.I will post updates as I get information, but we please need prayers for Mom, for the rest of the victims, and as hard as it might be, that God might have mercy on the soul of the person who committed this terrible crime.We are on the road and trying to get home as quickly and safely as possible from Ohio.
King was a widow who raised her three sons on her own. She was described as a devout Catholic who filled her time with friends and attended Mass nearly every day.
