Authorities have announced that they believe the body of Miya Marcano has been found.
Forensics investigators have secured the scene around the Tymber Skan by the Lake condos where the 19-year-old was discovered dead.
Marcano had been missing since September 24.
Investigators believe that a maintenance man of Arden Villas, an Orange County complex, used a master key fob to enter Marcano’s apartment and abduct her.
The suspect, Armando Caballero, was found dead three days later at a different apartment complex in Seminole County. Authorities say it was an apparent suicide, WFTV News reported.
Investigators resumed the search for the missing woman, searching across Orange, Seminole, and Volusia counties.
On Saturday, during a press conference, Orange County sheriff John Mina confirmed that her body was found.
Detectives have notified Marcano’s family, Mina stated, but authorities are still waiting on an official identification to be made by the medical examiner.
