A Florida veterinarian will spend nearly 22 years behind bars after pleading guilty to child porn and animal cruelty charges.
Prentiss Madden, 40, recorded himself sexually abusing dogs and had a collection of child pornography. In July, he admitted to his wrongdoings, the US Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Florida stated.
Prosecutors say Madden made videos of himself engaging in sexual activities with dogs and then shared them with others in online chats, the New York Post reported. Investigators learned of the disturbing videos and the conversations about bestiality on his cell phones.
The vet also accessed child porn through Dropbox, a share file software.
He stored thousands of horrifying files on his account, prosecutors claim. He is also accused of receiving child porn images and videos via online chats and social media. Apparently, he frequently discussed sexually abusing minors.
Madden’s home was raided earlier this year by Homeland Security agents. They found his files where Madden discussed “the sexual abuse of animals and children,” as well as multiple photos and videos depicting bestiality.
He was arrested in March. He recorded the bestiality videos while working as the medical director of Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Aventura.
Caring Hands Animal Hospital said they were “appalled” by Madden’s actions.” “Our legal team and every single member of the Caring Hands family will be doing everything in our power to aid law enforcement and facilitate their investigation and prosecution,” the animal hospital said at the time.
