Baller Alert Radio – Episode 13 – RL of R&B Group Next Talks The Group Reuniting, The Status of R&B Today, “Unsung” & More

Unless you spent the majority of the 90’s in your mother’s uterus, you should know who this guy is. Earlier this week TV One aired the “Unsung” episode for R&B group NEXT. In case you need a refresher, NEXT brought us hits such as “Butta Love,” “Too Close” and “Wifey.” Following the airing of the show, Baller Alert Radio’s own @eleven8 and @stixmalone caught up with the voice of the group, RL, to discuss his thoughts on the episode, why the group REALLY split, and what he’s been up to since.

Spoiler Alert: Fans will be happy to know that NEXT has squashed their differences and decided to reunite. 

RL also talks about working with Destiny’s Child, why his duet with Kelly Rowland never went down, Chris Brown’s artistry, what he’s learned from being in the group, mental illness among Black males and whether or not he thinks his depiction on “Unsung” was accurate.
