Former President Bill Clinton has been hospitalized for what his doctors say is an infection in his bloodstream.
On Tuesday, Clinton was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center and is being closely monitored in the intensive care unit.
Clinton is currently receiving antibiotics and fluids through an IV, according to UC Irvine’s Dr. Alpesh Amin and Clinton’s personal doctor, Dr. Lisa Bardack.
He is reportedly in excellent spirits and is expected to be just fine.
His doctors told CNN, “After two days of treatment, his white blood cell count is trending down, and he is responding to antibiotics well. We hope to have him go home soon.”
Clinton’s doctors are insisting that his recent hospitalization has nothing to do with Covid or his heart.
