Ashanti says her DM’s are flooded with famous men all shooting their shots at her.
During her recent sit-down with Black America Web to promote her new film “Honey Girls,” Ashanti gave some insight on the kind of activity that is taking place in her DM’s from eager suitors.
“It’s a sea of blue checks. It’s a sea of not blue checks. Nah, but it’s kinda crazy. It’s definitely a party going on in my DMs.”
The “Rain On Me” singer says her messages fill up pretty quickly, though she tries to reply as soon as possible. However, she confessed that a year would go by in some instances before she got to particular messages.
While her beauty is destined to attract men looking to date her, Ashanti says that not all DM’s are expressing romantic interest. Many are fellow artists wanting to collaborate, which is how she ended up on Moneybagg Yo’s smash single, “Wockesha,” and its remix along with Lil Wayne.
The 41-year-old said that a mutual of hers and Moneybagg reached out to her and orchestrated the record.
