Disney theme park fans are calling out the company after two people wore T-shirts with a raunchy message.
Over the weekend, some fans visiting Walt Disney World took a photo of a couple who was wearing a shirt that had a sexually suggestive message on it. One read, “I wanted the D” and the other read, “I gave her the D.” Both shirts were written in the classic Disney font, and both shirts are available to be purchased on Etsy and Amazon.
Regardless of how clever or funny the message was, people at the family-oriented park were offended and called for the shirt to be banned, The New York Post reports.
One person on Twitter wrote: “D is for Don’t” Another person respond, saying, “If they banned these shirts from ever being allowed in a Disney park again I wouldn’t be mad.” Others commented against the shirts by making up puns. “D is for discomfort,” said another person.
On its website, Disney World states it has the right to remove anyone wearing clothes that are no suitable and appropriate for the park. “We reserve the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that we consider inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests.”
What’s your opinion, were the shirts too much?
