The hashtag #CisWithTheT trended on Twitter after an article from the BBC titled “We’re Being Pressured Into Sex By Some Trans Women” went live.
The article written by Caroline Lowbridge appeared to be based on a survey of 80 women taken by an anti-trans lesbian feminist activist group.
The article claims lesbians are being pressured to date or have sexual relationships with trans women and are afraid to speak out about it because of fear of being called “transphobic.”
“Is a lesbian transphobic if she does not want to have sex with trans women?” the article asked. “Some lesbians say they are increasingly being pressured and coerced into accepting trans women as partners – then shunned and even threatened for speaking out,” Lowbridge continued.
Twitter users immediately criticized the article and debunked its findings, with a majority of cis women speaking out on the social media platform to support trans inclusivity.

#CisWithTheT currently trending at Number 4 in the United Kingdom.
Because, as nearly every poll shows (except the ones conducted amongst 80 hand-picked transphobes), the majority of cis women support trans inclusivity, but are silenced by a minority of hateful bigots.

This is extremely simple to understand. Trans Rights are Human Rights. That's it.
Any """debate""" of this should not be entertained.#CisWithTheT— Eddie Bowley (@Eddache_) October 27, 2021
