A Thai woman allegedly cut the rope that was holding onto painters from 26 floors high.
A woman who was allegedly angry that she didn’t know painters would be doing work near her cut the ropes that were supporting two painters. NBC News reports the two men were left hanging above the 26th floor after the woman cut their ropes.
Luckily, the two men were saved by police after the incident occurred on Wednesday. Video footage shows the two men asking residents on the 26th floor to open their windows and help them in.
Pol. Col. Pongjak Preechakarunpong, chief of the Pak Kret police station north of the Thai capital, told the Associated Press that the woman is looking at attempted murder charges and property destruction charges.
They have not confirmed a motive behind the woman’s act but police believe she was upset over her not knowing that they’d be working outside of her room. One of the painters said they were hired to fix a crack that was on the building.
