A Utah father is lucky to be alive after his son tried to kill him for bringing home the wrong order of chicken wings.
On October 21st, the unidentified man returned to his home in Bountiful with food for his son, 30-year-old Alika Unga Suliafu. However, when Suliafu realized that his father brought back the wrong flavor wings, he became irate, and an argument ensued. At some point, Suliafu went into a bedroom and emerged with a gun. He fired one shot at his father as he begged for his life. He missed, but the bullet entered a neighbor’s home and was stopped by their dishwasher. The two then began tussling over the weapon.
During the struggle, Suliafu fired another two rounds, which struck the ceiling. The father was able to eject the magazine from the gun, and Suliafu fled the scene. When Bountiful police arrived, the father detailed what happened and had injuries to back up his story. The neighbor whose home Suliafu shot into was not injured.
Suliafu was arrested soon after and charged with Felony Attempted Murder and Felony Discharge of a Firearm. He remains jailed without bond.
