A Texas man was arrested for allegedly murdering a young mother who had recently shared a video to her Instagram showing a tracking device had been attached to her car.Â
After a standoff with a SWAT team Thursday, Stanley Szeliga, 54, was taken into custody by Fort Worth Police. He was eventually apprehended and booked into the Tarrant County Jail on a murder charge.
The Fort Worth Police Department confirmed that Szeliga had been stalking and harassing Abigail Saldana, 22. There was evidence that he had been following her before her death, the Times Record News reports.
On Tuesday, the mother of one was located inside her car with an apparent gunshot wound to her torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene.Â
Police have not yet released a motive to the public and have not said whether the two knew each other.
Szeliga was taken to the hospital for self-inflicted cuts he sustained during his standoff with police. Once treated, he was released and taken to jail. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.Â
